Amy Thompson Jones

Professional Profile

Amy Jones is an Associate in the Medical Malpractice Defense Practice at Weathington, LLC.

Amy focuses on the defense of physicians, hospitals, and other health care providers in cases alleging medical malpractice, wrongful death, negligent supervision, and premises liability.

Amy obtained her JD from Mercer University School of Law.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Georgia Institute of Technology and graduated with high honors.

While earning her JD at Mercer University School of Law, Amy participated on the Moot Court Team, the Negotiations Team, as well as served on the executive board of several organizations.

Amy interned at the DA’s office for the Alcovy Judicial Circuit in the summer of 2020.  She also interned at the Weathington Firm in the summer of 2021, as well as clerked for a Georgia Court of Appeals Judge in the Spring of 2021.

Amy enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs, Laddie and Luna.
